The Steelton Solar Project consists of the installation of a 500 kW solar facility on approximately 5 acres of land at the UGI Energy Services Inc. propane plant in Dauphin County and split by Swatara Township and Steelton Borough. The solar facility will be used to offset the annual energy requirements of the existing storage facility. This will reduce the need to purchase electricity that has been generated by traditional means, thus, resulting in environmental benefits.
