The work will include the replacement of the components of twenty-three (23) Township traffic signals that use incandescent lamps with Light Emitting Diode (LED) modules using 87.5% less wattage and the replacement of all of the free standing parking lot light poles, wiring, fixtures and bulbs that use High Intensity Discharge (HID) fixtures with LED fixtures acheiving a savings of 50% wattage. The traffic light project will save the Township $29,526 in energy costs and $13,440 in maintenance costs for a total savings of $42,966 annually; which calculates to an energy savings of more than 91% annually. The Township Complex parking lot lighting project will save the Township more than $3,134 in energy costs, and $3,942 in maintenance costs for a total savings of $7,076 annually which calculates to an energy savings of more than 70% per year.
